Digitalization Package
Based on the materials collected in the Database, we develop the Digital Transformation Scoreboard adopting the practices used in the EU to the local conditions in Uzbekistan.
The Scoreboard aims to combine the European policies in this area, describe methodology of monitoring and evaluation, demonstrate the progress of digital transformation in selected industries and make comparative analysis in accordance with parameters set in “Digital Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy”.
The Scoreboard adapts the European indicators for monitoring the digital transformation to the geographic, institutional and economic specifics of Uzbekistan. The policies should focus equally on the development of new technologies and on the deployment and use in industry of existing technologies.
It is important to remember that the methodology applied in Uzbek digital transformation process should be adjusted towards the requirements and standards set in the “Digital Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy” (adopted at the state level in 2020). In the EU, there are numerous documents and databases available for decision makers, researchers and wider community, allowing them to make educated choices and respond to the pressures of digitalisation.
While these pressures are also relevant for Uzbekistan, and the European experience might be of great value for the researchers and decision-makers, the access to the information is less structures and well-organised. Moreover, the local legislative acts and data sources are rather dispersed. That’s why we see the need of creating a structured database, providing links and resources for the research and decision support.
This online Digitalisation Documentation Database should provide a single point of search of the EU and local sources covering the issues of digitalisation and digital transformation and business and finance.
