Policy oriented research

We are making policy research in two directions: Sustainable Finance and Digitalization.
The sustainability criteria play a vital role in financing the companies in Europe. Compliance with certain environmental requirements allows companies to have more favourable terms of access to the capital both from the financial institution and in the market in general. Similar steps are currently considered in Uzbekistan, but the legislative base for such processes is missing. That’s why we see here the opportunity to contribute with to the policy-making by conducting research on sustainable finance practices in the EU and applying its result to the local conditions.
In Uzbekistan the digitalisation process is defined through the “Digital Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy” approved in 2020. While the goals are set in this policy, their achievement is long term and the need for monitoring is acute. Familiar with the EU experience of monitoring the digitalisation transformation progress we suggest implementing the instruments similar to the ones available in the EU also in Uzbekistan.
